Plot Synopsis
One of the greatest musical talents of all time, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart composed over 600 works over his short 35 years in this world, with Beethoven as one of his biggest fans. At a young age, Mozart toured across Europe with his father, a court musician, gaining him many fans among the aristocracy. His touring years gave him the foundation in mastering various musical genres, including symphonies, opera, solo concertos, chamber music and piano sonatas. His versatility allowed him to bring together existing musical forms and his meticulous skills to create music filled with power and emotion. His symphonic pieces are beloved on the same level as Beethoven and Haydn, namely "Serenade No. 13 for string quartet and bass in G major", "Symphony No. 40 in G minor", Twelve Variations on "Ah! vous dirai-je, maman" and "Piano Sonata No. 11" and many more, while his operatic pieces including "The Magic Flute", "Don Giovanni" and "The Marriage of Figaro" earned him a place next to Verdi, Wagner and Gluck as the greatest opera composers of all time. This film traces the touring path of Mozart's and offers analysis by musicians and musicologists, giving a heartfelt portrait of this true genius of music.
